Lorenzo Mattotti: «Segni e colori»

A retrospective dedicated to one of the most significant and most influential artists worldwide. Mattotti was born in 1954 in Italy and after studying architecture, he decided to devote himself to comics. In 1981 he co-founded the Valvoline group, while he also published in “Frigidaire” and “Alter Alter”. He later moved to France where he became one of the most outstanding international exponents of comics and illustration. His work has been published in the most important magazines and his books are translated all over the world. His exhibition in the festival attracted a wide range of visitors, proving there is no such thing as “major” and “minor” artists. A guest of honor in this year’s festival, Mattotti spent a great deal of time on signing his books and drawing autographs for his fans.
