Lazaros Zikos

Publishing already since the middle of the 1970‘s, at a very young age, Lazaros Zikos left a rich artistic work endowed with a distinct personal touch. He collaborated with various publishing houses drawing book covers and published comics and drawings in alternative magazines while, at the same time, he made a lot of handmade fanzines and every kind of small press. He presented a lot of solo exhibitions and participated in several group exhibitions showing his tableaus and peculiar installations of paper boxes and motley small things. Christoforos Marinos, art historian, is the curator of Zikos’ exhibition “Autumn Paintings.” The show focuses on unknown drawings from the period 1983-1995 which reflect the multiple stimulations of an artist who praised the sense of paradox and the power of the unconscious.
